The Sounds of Hattula Church Violinist Harri Sissala, who now lives in Helsinki, made his first CD of five pieces of music. The organ accompaniments in the CD have been recorded in the new church of Hattula with organist Saara Eskola. The making of the record was a fulfilment of a dream to Harri, who had studied the theory of music under the supervision of Jarmo Sermilä. "I managed to make my dream from the days of my childhood, to play violin with the organ, to come true", says Harri. The violin parts have been recorded in Helsinki at Studio Brushane, which also is the official producer of the CD. Two organ arrangements of this record, Ave Maria and Old Hymn from the Cowsheds of the Dalarna, can also be found on Harri's other record, Musical Mosaic. Saara Eskola's career as a musician has been manifold. Since she was six years old, piano playing has been a part of her life in one way or another. Saara also started to play guitar a few years ago. The organ she was introduced to some ten years ago. " The organ is a magnificent instrument. Acoustically, a church is great and also inspiring in its atmosphere. With the organ, there are endless possibilities to vary both the sound and by changing the volume," Saara describes. She has also completed her series of instrumental experiments with singing, as she says.
